What this calculates: flat rectangular plate only — length × width × thickness × density, times quantity. No shapes, no cutouts, no holes deducted, no camber. What the numbers are: nominal weights from the densities shown above; actual plate varies with rolling tolerance and chemistry, and the mill cert governs. Weights are computed from the kg/m³ figure; pounds are derived at 2.204623 lb/kg, and both round to one decimal. Where the math runs: in this page, in your browser.
